A twenty minute - drive by Russian jeep brings us to the starting point of this more challenging trek. Our walk takes us into Sapa valley, through the rice terraces, past a bamboo forest and waterfall before reaching the Red Dao village of Giang Ta Chai. There is time to explore and take a rest before continuing on through a wilder, uncultivated area to Supan village. After lunch, we trek downhill to Ban Ho village and stay overnight in a stilt house of the Tay hill tribe people

An early breakfast in the Tay village is followed by a uphill trek through villages of the Red Dao people and onwards back to Supan where we have lunch and meet the jeep which will take us back to Sapa.
