Ta Phin Village

Ta Phin village is one of attractions in Sapa which should not be ignored when travellers come here. Ta Phin is nestled in a beautiful and pristine valley, around 15 kilometers in the northeast of Sapa. This is a village of "Dao Do" ethnic group. Visiting Ta Phin, tourists can catch images of Dao Do women in very beautiful and colorful dress that made from brocade, a traditionally hand-made product of local people here. These people are quite friendly and hospitable.

Ta Phin Village


Take the easy option, we can drive to the starting point of this rewarding trekking route or alternatively, commence our walk fro Sapa, taking a trail through beautiful gardens and  lush pine groves, before descending through the terraced rice fields to Ma Tra village. Here you will experience the warmth and friendliness of the Black H'Mong people as well as gain insight into their daily life. Continuing our trek through the spetacular landscape, we have the opportunity to visit a school for the ethnic monority children of the area, before stopping to enjoy a lunch prepared by our guide. In the afternoon, we trek to the village of Ta Phin, where Red Zao and Black H'Mong live harmoniously together on the steeply sloped hillside, maintaining their individual customs and traditions. We also visit a handicraft workshop where the Red Dao and Black H'Mong embroider their distinctive, and colourful fabrics, before making our way back up the valley to the main road
